I hope you’re having a great week so far! Sorry for the late post today but my Frenchie, Coco, is having more eye problems and I needed to take her to see her vet this morning. We have a Opthamolist appointment on Thursday morning and in the meantime, we’re trying to keep the pressure down in her eye and keep her as comfortable and pain-free as possible. We’re also spoiling her with lots of love and kisses.
There are people who seem to exude style from every sense of their being, from their elegant ensembles to their panache pads. They wear the latest and greatest fashions and their impeccable homes appear in the pages of Elle Decor. Most have several things in common and I’ve narrowed down to what I believe are the top 15. While most of these pieces are stylish, they are timeless and placed in well designed spaces which makes them utterly perfect in my opinion.
An eye-catching Sputnik chandelier adds a touch of retro charm.
Dark grey walls and is considered the “little black dress” for the home. ps: Verner Panton chair is one of my favourite pieces of all time
Marble walls. I love this room in its entirety – the flooring, light fixture, vanity and the patterned marble.
Large scale art dominates the room and is a bold design choice. It’s fabulous and works in a space.
Lots of texture and pattern and it works. I’ve seen attempts at this play that have gone terribly wrong but when it’s done correctly it’s très chic.
Animal Print pillows are everywhere, especially in this print.
A vignette of books and a candle.
If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you know herringbone flooring is one of my favorite things ever and they are a staple in the most stylish of homes.
Wallpaper with an unexpected print.
Mixing an antique with contemporary design. These antique dining chairs are amazing, don’t you think?
At least one Mid-Century Modern piece.
Jewel tones are a dramatic accent and add sophisticated sparkle in a design.
Gold plumbing is one of my personal favorites and adds a touch of luxury to any bath or kitchen.
This bold and stunning copper pendant from Tom Dixon is a statement piece that oozes style.
You don’t have to go crazy to make a statement with your tile. A simple pattern can speak volumes.
