I’m currently redesigning a bath in our home. White, marble and glamour is the direction of the design, however, all of the smaller details are yet to be determined.
I really love the warmth of the wood beams and flooring in this bath paired with the contrast of the crystal chandelier and sconces. I also love the ivory walls which keep the marble and white vanities from becoming too stark.
The leaded glass cabinet is my favorite element in this bath, and who doesn’t love a clawfoot tub? When designing a space, I pay close attention to the smallest detail. In this bath, the hardware on the cabinet and windows captured my attention immediately.
The moulding and mix of marble in this bath are lovely, however, I would add a touch of colour on both sides of the mirror. Ambient lighting would add the perfect touch, especially during a relaxing bath.
Marble herringbone flooring has become extremely popular. I love that the designer extended the shower flooring and used it to trim around the herringbone to make this small bath appear larger.
The black Baccarat sconces and lacquered metal frame washstands lend a modern twist, while the octopus shaped faucets are completely unexpected and add a touch of whimsy.
One word. Beautiful.
While there is a lot of beauty in this bath, the chandelier, sconces and mirror make the statement. The wood bench adds warmth to keep the metals and marble from becoming to stark, which is important in a larger space.
Which bath is your favorite?
