Bon Weekend, Couture Cocktails, Plus Weekend Brunch Ideas

Is it me or did this week fly by? It seems to have passed in the blink of an eye. I’m looking forward to spending time relaxing with family, celebrating a friend’s birthday, and Sunday brunch on the patio. Hopefully, I will get my wish…

Typically, I prepare old favourites and signature brunch cocktails, however, I’m going to try mixing it up this weekend. I’m not certain which brunch recipes I will make yet other than the French Breakfast Puffs and Rustic French Toast, those are pretty firm on the menu.

Couture Cocktails

Pamplemousse

Ice

1 ounce London dry gin

1/2 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur

1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice

1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

1 large basil leaf, for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and shake well. Pour through a fine strainer into a chilled coupe and garnish with the basil leaf.

Brunch Recipes

When thinking about brunch recipes, Blueberry Ricotta pancakes came to mind, I’m not sure why as I never thought about them before; however, once I began searching for recipes, this one was I knew had to be on the menu. Raspberry compote would be equally as good!
