Recently, I was talking about Jean-Louis Deniot with a fellow designer while flipping through his book, Jean–Louis Deniot: Interiors. One of things I appreciate most about his interiors is that they’re tailored to each client and the architecture of the home. Deniot is considered the master of French interiors and is one of the leading interior designers on the design scene today. The Paris-based designer is known for his interiors that brilliantly combine history with contemporary flourishes, mixing patterns, textures and pieces from different periods with masterful elegance, and a thoughtful attention to detail. Bon weekend, mes amis. I hope you’re doing well. You haven’t heard from because I’ve been completely immersed in my interior design business which is a very good thing; however, it hasn’t left time for anything but family. I’ve sincerely missed blogging and all of you. I’m excited to be focusing more of the blog on my business and giving you a glimpse inside my world of design. As most of you know, I’m a Francophile at heart, as are the majority of my readers, and over the past several months, many have inquired about my design services. I’ve incorporated eDesign into my business, which is wonderful to reach so many, as well as sourcing European treasures such as antiques, art and objets. I love incorporating them into my design and finding that special piece to make my client’s happy and make their home unique.
Bonjour mes amis! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I’ve mentioned before one of the rooms I love to design most is baths. I like various styles and incorporating special touches that reflect my clients needs and personalities. These baths are unique and special in their own way.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Tara Shaw’s jaw dropping New Orleans home is featured in the September/October issue of Veranda Magazine and it is nothing short of breathtaking. A few years ago, I read how she began her business by saving up enough funds to travel Europe and purchase antiques to ship home and sell out of a warehouse. Upon their arrival, she contacted every designer and antique dealer she could find and everything sold within minutes. Due to the enormous success, she continued to purchase and sell antiques to-the-trade, thus, Tara Shaw Ltd was born. Since that time, she has begun Tara Shaw Maison, an European antiques reproduction furniture line.
