Bon weekend, mes amis. I hope you’re doing well. You haven’t heard from because I’ve been completely immersed in my interior design business which is a very good thing; however, it hasn’t left time for anything but family. I’ve sincerely missed blogging and all of you. I’m excited to be focusing more of the blog on my business and giving you a glimpse inside my world of design. As most of you know, I’m a Francophile at heart, as are the majority of my readers, and over the past several months, many have inquired about my design services. I’ve incorporated eDesign into my business, which is wonderful to reach so many, as well as sourcing European treasures such as antiques, art and objets. I love incorporating them into my design and finding that special piece to make my client’s happy and make their home unique.
Designers, Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier, are the talented duo behind Parisian design firm Gilles et Boissier. They began their careers in the Paris studio of one of my favorite designers, Christian Liaigre, before Dorothée moved on to work for another favorite, Philippe Starck.
Renowned for creating some of the most beautiful fashions to walk the runways, Italian-born Giambattista Valli’s Paris apartment is just as stunning. Like his clothes, Valli’s well collected home combines classic construction with a contemporary spirit.
Blending styles is one of my favourite things to do when I design for clients. I love incorporating contrasting styles into a multi-layered, juxtaposed aesthetic that is fresh. Knowing how to do this is successfully is especially helpful when partners have contrasting tastes. I find it always gets the most ecstatic reactions!
