The promise of a new year lends way to dreams of endless possibilities and goals that were written throughout the year, and are once again revisited and reassessed. Although I am not one to make New Year’s resolutions, I set goals for myself throughout the year. Some of these goals are determined to be acted upon right away and some at a later date, perhaps when schedules slow down or after another goal is attained. For me, days seem to slip away in the blink of an eye.. not nearly enough hours to accomplish each and every one. I confess I stay up until the late night/early hours, making plans with the feeling of butterflies in my stomach from the excitement.
2014 brings the promise of a new beginning and this year I am making a new goal from the start: I will not put off to tomorrow what I can do today. I will act upon each dream, thought, and goal when it is conceived. That is my promise to myself.

I really like your goal for the year and I think I need to adopt your goal as my own. Reading more books is a goal that I set myself every year.
