It’s been long awaited… Maison Ladurée is now open in New York City. I had hoped it would be open in time for my visit in May but, sadly, they were behind schedule. However, if you are near Madison Ave, between 71st and 72nd, you can treat yourself to the most celebrated macarons in the world.
This jewel box of a boutique will have two areas ~ one for sales and order taking while the adjacent room will be reserved for tea and conversation.
I see a trip to NYC in my future!
Ladurée, 864 Madison Avenue, (646) 558-3157, open Monday ~ Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. ~ 6 p.m. Macarons in 14-15 flavors are $2.70 each; chocolates begin at $10 each for a box of four; ice cream and sorbets (six flavours each) garnished with a macaron are $8.50.
Today just got a little bit sweeter! xoxo, B
